Verbatim is able to provide the highest quality discs which ensure that all your data will be safely stored and will last a lifetime. The double/dual layer of recording has been made possible by the creation of a new substrate layer that sits in between each recording layer. This allows the laser beam to record on both layers. Once the first layer has been recorded, the laser is re-focused to record on the second layer giving you 8.5GB capacity in a single disc. Verbatim DVDs feature HardCoat Scratch Guard to protect against fingerprints and dust build up, reducing recording or playback errors.
